meeting were treated to a presentation of the Pledge of Allegiance by the Culpeper County High School Marine Corps Junior ROTC color guard and a presentation on the Junior ROTC program by its director, Lt. Col. Brad Coppock for consideration of the School Board.

Col. Coppock said that the program teaches leadership and that its training includes citizenship, personal growth and responsibility, public service, career exploration and general military subjects.

Col. Coppock said that there are 6,200 Junior ROTC programs worldwide, of which 228 are Marine Corps Junior ROTC. He said the services provide the equipment and uniforms, but schools provide the necessary office, classroom, and drill facilities
