the JV boys basketball team split two games for the week losing to Clarke County 63-57 but racing by Madison County 61-26.
In the Clarke game the team got out to a first quarter lead only to watch Clarke continue to trim away at the lead and before halftime was able to take the lead.
The teams played very evenly through the second half until the Eagles pulled away late in the fourth quarter to get the win. Against Madison the team took control from the beginning and never let the Mountaineers in the game. The team continued to build on its lead throughout the game as their record improved to 8-5 on the season and 3-3 in the District.
