The norm for the winter athletic season so far has been the weather. Four contests were postponed or canceled during the week as a result of snow.
However, several contests were played during the week and one saw the Lady Panthers volleyball team continue to roll with a 2-0 win over Clarke County.
The Panthers jumped out to to quick 5-0 lead in the first game and extended their lead to 10-6 before Ryisha Cook served the last five points to get the win.
The second game saw the Panthers jump out to a 11-6 lead only to see the Eagles score four points to make the score 11-10. At that point, Brittany Thornhill took over from the service line and scored the last four points to secure the win. The team remains undefeated at 12-0 and 4-0 in the Bull Run District.
