Irene Entsminger

Irene Jenkins Entsminger, 67, of Warrenton and formerly of Laurel, died Dec. 17 at Fairfax Hospital in Virginia.
Daughter of the late Jessie and Clarence Jenkins, she was born Jan. 18, 1935 in Sperrvville. She worked at the Fort Meade post exchange and at Westinghouse in Linthicum. She later worked in the deli department at Giant food in Vienna, Va. for 22 years before retiring in 1996. She was a member of the Women of the Moose, Chapter 1327 in Laurel.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Mabel Deal, and her brother, Ivan Jenkins.
Surviving are her husband of 45 years, Samuel Entsminger, daughter Debbie Kay; sons Samuel Jr. twins Daniel and Donald, and David; twin sister Pauline Reel of Laurel and sisters Dorothy Poist and Judy Walters, both of Laurel; Ellen Chesgreen of Gambrills and Beatrice Sheppard of Sperrvville; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Burial was at National Memorial Gardens in Falls Church.
