4-H winter camp registration

The Culpeper-Shenandoah-Rappahannock 4-H Winter Camp is scheduled for Feb. 7-9 at the Northern Virginia 4H Center in Front Royal, Va. The theme for the weekend is “Secret Agent."

Registration will be held in Robinson Lodge from 6:307 p.m. on Friday and checkout will be 11 a.m. on Sunday.

Camp is open to any 4-H'er age 9-14 as of Sept. 30. 2003. The cost for the weekend is $65.

Veterans Affairs agent to visit

Virginia Department of Veterans Affairs claim agent Walt Philllips will visit the Culpeper office of the Virginia Employment Commission on the following Wednesdays: Jan. 29, Feb. 5 and Feb. 26 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to assist military veterans with Federal Veterans Affairs forms. The office is located at 529 Meadowbrook Shopping Center. Mr. Phillips can be reached at 800-925-0640.

Relay for Life

The Relay for Life team captains' kickoff meeting will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 28 at 7:30 p.m. at the Washington Baptist Church. Persons thinking about participating as team captains are invited to attend. This year a special effort is being made to encourage new teams to join the fun and assist in fundraising. Friends and relatives are invited too to learn how to be a team captain. Contact is Ben Atkins at 635-2377.
