Town Council
meets May 14
The Washington Town Council meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 14 at 7:30 p.m. at the Tbwn Hall on Gay Street with a rigorous agenda.
There will be a hearing on an application by Sid Worley for a Certificate of ApproEriateness
for a proposed new ouse on Main Street.
This is an appeal of the decision of the Town Architectural Review Board denying the application.
There also will be public hearings on the following:
• Adoption of amendments to the zoning ordinance, to the flood plan ordinance and to the historic district ordinance;
• The FY 2003/2004 Budget;
• An application for a Special Use Permit by Peter and Sharon Luke to allow retail sales of greater than 1,000 square feet in an existing retail location (the site of the Rappahannock National Bank on Gay Street).
The Tbwn Council also will be considering the appointment of a new planning commission member.
