Cellist Amy Leung was an undergraduate at the New England Conservatory in Boston before going on to receive advance degrees in music. In 1994 she won the Kranichsteiner Interpretation Prize in Germany. She has recorded works for German radio and has performed in Holland,' Belgium, Czech Republic, Hungary and Britain, as well as the United States.
Both she and Borup were founding members of the Coolidge String Quartet with which they have performed in four continents. Currently both musicians hold faculty positions at the University of Virginia.
