No visual or environmental impact studies, which should have been done in advance of the choice of a new location have been revealed. Because the potential for expansion on this truly unique community is clear, I will not dwell upon it.
As a 15 year resident of the town and a 40 year resident owner in the county, I can only urge that we tread softly—and that the Planners “carry a big stick”—we do need to have public awareness of the potential effect that reverting to old lot plans may have on our town.
Some of these which are recorded are as small as .25 acre. Imagine the numbers of vehicles our narrow streets would bear then!
Think about the air pollution, noise and light impact of development, not to mention the water needs. I say, “Stop now—there’s no going back.”
