PLANNING STAGES
The first step in pre-planning your funeral involves consulting with a funeral director, who can explain all your options. This should help you make the funeral as personal as possible so that it will reflect your life. Discuss the use of pictures, music, readings, and the person who will deliver the eulogy. Make it a celebration of your life. Next, consider the needs of your surviving family members, different people grieve in different ways and have different preferences. Then make it clear to your family that they should not close ranks after your death. They should invite family and friends to come and support them. Finally, establish a budget and implore your family to adhere to it.
