The Cougars of Manassas Park jumped on the Panthers for five first inning runs and the Panthers never recovered. Dustin White and Daryl Cropp had two hits apiece for the Panthers. Against George Mason, the Mustangs broke a 11 tie with three third-inning runs as they edged by the Panthers.
•JV softball
The JV softball remained undefeated on the season by defeating George Mason twice on the week and Manassas Park 10-0. The team is 13-0 overall and 8-0 in the Bull Run District. A win over Strasburg on Tuesday will clinch a place in the JV championship game on May 19 at Strasburg. Rebecca Tupper pitched an excellent game against Manassas Park
