Thornton’s Gap Regular Baptist Church will have its homecoming on May 25. Pastor Roger Smith from Five Forks Regular Baptist Church will be the guest speaker for the afternoon service. Everyone is invited.
Gid Brown homecoming
The 31st anniversary homecoming will be held June 1 at Gid Brown Bible Baptist Church in Washington beginning at 10 a.m with the Rochester Family singing. Everyone is welcome.
Gallery seeking artists
The Middle Street Gallery in Washington is seeking works by former artists to be displayed in an exhibition celebrating the gallery’s 20th anniversary on the weekend of September 26-27. Contact Steve Kenney at 675-2355 to make arrangements to display works.
Farfelu kicks off summer
Farfelu Vineyard is having a summer celebration on Memorial Day weekend May 24-26 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The cost is $3 per person, including appetizers, wine tasting and souvenir glass. The winery is located in Flint Hill on Route 647. *
Cheerleading tryouts

!Dog Day Afternoon ’
The Rappahannock Animal Welfare League (RAWL) will hold its third annual Dog Day Afternoon on Saturday, May 31 from 12 noon to 5 p.m. Rain date is Sunday, June 1. It will be held at Windsor Lodge Farm, outside Flint Hill. The cost is $5 per person; children 12 and under, free. For more information call 540-636-3308.
