Despite doing two shows on Saturday, Day agreed to this interview which was conducted on the sofa on the stage set.
She talked of her dreams, her deep feelings about her career and her family, life’s lessons and the future.
The interview touched on the possibility of Day coming back to appear one day in a Ki Theatre production in Little Washington.
“My mom—who only recently died, as you know— wanted me to do this play. I did it for my mother,”she said.
As she explained how she and her mother were very close, her eyes showed that the pain of her mother’s passing is still deeply felt.
“My mom knew about this play. I read parts of it to her. She was enthusiastic and would have loved to see the play. She's with me all the time.”
