The Bond

I wrote this poem for my Mom, Ester Settle, and for everyone who has been affected by cancer. There are so many of us. She has devoted so much of her life helping others with cancer and also raising money to find a cure. Please support the AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY! The Bond It may be Your father. J Your mother. Your sister, or brother. Your child. Your friend. Your neighbor who lives just down the road. We are bonded. We come together, To honor the ones who are here and to remember the ones who are not. Who not so willingly lost their fight but so bravely gave it their all. We are bonded. We wait for the doctor. We wait for the test. We wait for the chemo. We worry about the worst and pray for the best while waiting so anxiously to hear the rest. We are bonded We must continue to walk the walk and fight the fight witfc all our heart and all our might. Tb hold the ones we love dear so very tight and to be there for them in the middle of the night. No! We will not give in to our plight for we will, fight the fight. The Relay For Life! We are bonded.
