Full-time position with Loudoun County’s Facilities Management Division. This position leads the carpentry team in the maintenance and repair of structures, roofing, fenestration, masonry, interior and exterior trim, cabinet, flooring, hardware and building finishes. Also supervises the like work of multiple carpentry work crews. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of construction trade practices, the installation and maintenance of building systems, and the international building code; building construction materials and methods; and knowledge of all state/local laws applicable to construction. Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints and complex construction documents and compare them with construction in progress; and possess a working knowledge of procurement policies. Must possess good written, and oral communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills. Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to an Associate’s degree with course work in related field with at least 5 years of progressive experience in the building construction/carpentry trade with some supervisory experience. Valid VA Driver's License (Hiring Range; $32,354 - S52,736/yr)
