Announcement #CD013 The Fauquier County Department of Community Development is seeking qualified applicants for the full-time position of Building Plans Reviewer to perform plan review of buildings and related systems to ensure compliance with the design requirements of applicable building codes.

QuaHied applicants must possess thorough knowledge of structural engineering principles and practices as appied to building design/construction and must possess the knowledge, skill and ability to review building plans and specifications fa residential, commercial, industrial and public construction projects fa compiance with the State Build ng Code. Applicants must also have the ^oility to communicate and maintain effective working relationships with contractors, architects, associates, and the general pubic. A valid Virginia driver's license is required. Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and extensive experience in general building construction will be considered. Special Requirements: Virgnia Certification as a building plans examiner iMthin 3 years of appointment. Starting salary is $35,825 to $42,990 with excellent fringe benefits.
