Daily, lingering rain has hit “pretty hard” some of the crops grown by both traditional and organic farmers as well as disrupted the schedule of farming operations.
“Some of our crops were hit pretty hard,” said David Cole, owner of Sunnyside organic farm in Washington. He said they lost half of their cherry crop and 30 percent of their strawberry crop.
