It’s a boy!
John Daniel III and Dani Pond are the proud parents of.a son, John Daniel “Jackson” Pond IV.
John Daniel was bom on May 27 at Warren Memorial Hospital in Front Royal.
He weighed 10 pounds and one ounce and was 20.8 inches long.
The grandparent is John Daniel Pond II of Front Royal.
Great-grandparents are John and Daphne Pond of Front Royal and Jane Davis of Luray.

The Farm Bill also reauthorizes the highly successful Conservation Reserve Program. The CRP provides technical and financial assistance to reduce soil erosion, protect the nation’s ability to produce food and fiber, reduce sedimentation in streams and lakes, improve water quality, establish wildlife habitat, and enhance forest and wetland resources.
CRP encourages farmers to convert highly erodible cropland or other environmentally sensitive acreage to vegetative cover by providing 50 percent cost share and an annual rental pay-. ment based on the length of the agreement.
The Farm Bill increases overall acreage caps for the CRP from 36.4 to 39.2 million acres nationwide. Regular CRP is open to sign up until June 13, while continuous CRP will remain open to sign up as long as funds are available.
In addition, the Farm Bill reauthorizes the popular Wildlife Habitat Incentives Program (WHIP) to improve fish and wildlife habitat on private lands. WHIP is not confined to agricultural producers, and is a significant opportunity for landowners who are willing to devote at least two acres of land to the development of wildlife habitat
The 2002 Farm Bill has also reauthorized the Farmland Protection Program, which helps protect prime farmland from conversion to nonagricultural uses by providing funds for the purchase of conservation easements.
