bear was probably passing through to go to another place on Aaron Mountain and was just more or less checking things out as it went on its way.
Game warden Jim Bankston said he has gotten “many complaints" about bears destroying property. He advised people to keep their birdfeeders clean and the grill clean so bears can’t smell the food.
One of the reasons people are seeing more bears now, he said, is because the mating season is between June and July.
