I received a copy of a map of Military Operations dated 1869 of Northeast Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania from Diane Bruce (real interesting) showing “Little Washington” on that military map. Now whether that proves anything or not—also on the map in big letters it has Washington but no D. C. after it. I hear there is a Washington, N. C. and a Washington, Md. So there it
