Community Brainstorming Meeting” for Rappahannock’s nonprofit organizations will be held Saturday, Jan. 24 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the Rappahannock County Public Library.

The meeting will explore the unmet needs of Rappahannock’s nonprofits in areas such as fund-raising, communications, volunteer recruitment and training, technical assistance, board development, and finance.

Board members, volunteers, donors, staff and supporters of Rappahannock’s 501 (c)3 nonprofits, schools, faithbased organizations, fire & rescue squads, social services, foundations and trusts, government, and any and all community members interested in leadership, service, and support in the nonprofit sector are encouraged to attend.

Refreshments will be provided by Rappahannock High School Culinary Arts students.

Hospice volunteers needed

Family Care Home Health and Hospice Care is offering training for individuals who are interested in becoming hospice volunteers. The first training day is Tuesday, Jan. 27 and the second training day is Tuesday, Feb. 3. The hours are 9-4. Lunch will be provided. The training will be used in the Family Birth Class Room of Culpeper Regional Hospital. For more information, or to register, call Nancy Wells at 829-5764.

Winter yoga classes
