through a child’s eyes and saw more trees than I had ever seen before, with spring sunshine making dappled shadows through the leaves. I saw green hills looming over the small hollow. A path in the back led to a small shack whose door rested invitingly open. I thought of wading with the minnows in the river which murmured and gurgled as it tumbled over the rocks. I wanted to live here.
