Mary Elizabeth “Sister” Franklyn, 67, died Feb. 2 at her residence in Warrenton.

She was born April 19, 1936.

Mrs. Franklyn was a nurse’s aid.

She is survived by her mother, Catherine Williams of Warrenton, a daughter, Lydia B. Brown, of Gainesville and a son, Nikita Joseph Franklyn of Culpeper.

Additional survivors include two sisters, Virginia Jackson of Bealeton and Matline Jackson of Amissville; and one brother, Ben Williams, Jr., of Manassas.

A funeral service was held Feb. 7 at Rising Zion Baptist Church in Jeffersonton with the Rev. Richard E. Gamer officiating. Interment followed at Mt. Morris Community Cemetery in Hume.
