Rappahannock County public schools provide a free, appropriate public education to all children with disabilities ages two through 21.

Students who are suspected of having a disability are screened, referred, and evaluated to determine eligibility for special services. These services are available to students who are not yet in school or are home-schooled as well as to students enrolled in a private school.

If you know of a child who may have a disability and is not receiving services, or if you would like more information about special education programs in Rappahannock County, contact Nancy Allegretto, Director of Special Services, Rappahannock County Public Schools, 6 Schoolhouse Road, Washington, Va. 22747 or call 987-8773.
