Rappahannock vote and almost tying him was former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean with 10.40 percent of the vote. Clark edged him out by one vote.
Among Rappahannock’s precincts, Washington had the highest number of votes for Kerry who is seeking the Democratic nomination to unseat President George W. Bush (R). Washington had (82) votes for Kerry, closely followed by Sperryville (81), Scrabble (64), Amissville (62) Flint Hill (43) and Chester Gap (24).
