Shirley Hitt of Scrabble Road in Castleton would like to thank all who have been supportive during her son Michael Hitt’s recovery.
Michael was in an automobile accident on Jan. 12. According to the Virginia State Police, at approximately 10:20 a m., Michael, accompanied by his two cousins, Chris and Randy, was driving his Ford F350 truck on Laurel Mills Road.
At the intersection of Routes 618 and 649, Michael’s truck was involved in a collision with a 1999 John Deere tractor that was turning left. The owner and operator of the tractor is Russell Lee Payne of Woodville.
