Rappahannock News Staff Writer
Rappahannock County Sheriff Larry Sherertz sent two dispatchers to an “advanced fire service dispatch” course in Williamsburg in January as part of what he said is a “pro-active program” to keep his team of six dispatchers up to date with fire and rescue training.
He is also planning to begin inservice training for the dispatchers, all of whom are women, to be conducted by Capt. Sheila Scott, the chief dispatcher and a certified training officer and Major Chris Williams, also a certified trainer.
