Weaving spinning classes
Misty Mountain Farm in Amissville will hold a class in beginning weaving on Saturday, Feb. 21 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Workshop looms, weaving yarns and lunch are provided. A beginning spinning class will be held Saturday, Feb. 28 also from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with spinning wheels, fibers and lunch provided. Each class is $50 per person. Call 540-937-4707 to register.
Lions Club music contest
The annual music contest sponsored by the Rappahannock Lions Club on Feb. 29-tbe Bland Music Contest—is accepting applications from students attending any elementary or high school in Rappahannock or who is home-schooled here. Students do not have to live in Rappahannock to participate. Applications are available at the elementary and high schools, Wakefield School and the Rappahannock County Library.
