Office Report
The Rappahannock county Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of a safe containing $2,800 last Friday from a home on Little Eldon Street in Woodville.
According to Sheriff Larry Sherertz, a woman came home to find that her back door had been forced and a safe kept in a bedroom with $2,800 had , been removed.
She told investigators only five people knew about the safe and deputies are now questioning the five.
Car accidents
In the past week, cars were slipping and sliding over county roads. No one was injured, but cars ended up damaged or ditched on Old Hollow Road, Crest Hill, Tiger Valley and Lee Highway. Possible child abuse
Sheriff’s deputies are investigating an allegation of child abuse in Amissville. The investigators are trying to find out if there was a criminal act and who might be involved.
