James W. (Jack) Bowen, 80, of Warrenton died April 10 at Veterans Affairs Medical.
He was a carpenter and a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
Mr. Bowen was bom May 25, 1923 in Sperryville to the late Oakley H. Bowen and the late Elizabeth Bowen.
He was preceded in death by four sisters, Mabel W. McClanahan, Mildred Frazier, Fannie Clatterbuck and Edna Canard; and two brothers, Sam and Leo Bowen.
Mr. Bowen is survived by one sister, Magdalene Dwyer of Sperryville and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside funeral will be held April 15 at 1 p.m. at Culpeper National Cemetery.
