People who buy those homes are likely to commute to Washington, D.C., Fairfax, Dulles and Prince William, Fitch said. In the evening, all of the cars must pass through a single right-turn lane to get from the U.S. 211 bypass back on to U.S. 211 in Warrenton.
“It’s pretty bad right now,” Fitch said. “Can you imagine not only when the Clevenger’s Corner houses are there, but when the other byrighted development is there as well?”
Fitch said improving that turn remains low on the Virginia Department of Transportation’s list of priorities.
“It means if we want to do this,” he said, referring to improving U.S. 211, “we, the Town of Warrenton, have to pay for it.”
