PUBLIC HEARING
AN ORDINANCE REGULATING OUTDOOR ARTIFICIAL LIGHTING
The Rappahannock County Planning Commission shall hold a public hearing on a proposed ordinance to amend the following sections of the Zoning Chapter of the Rappahannock County Code:
§ 170-119: Outdoor Lighting. These amendments regulate the placement, orientation, distribution, intensity, type, configuration and illuminance of outdoor artificial lighting: (1) in Commercial and Industrial Zoning Districts; (2) in permanent parking areas for more than 50 vehicles in all zoning districts, and provide maximum levels of illuminance for stated uses. § 170-93: This amendment provides that no animated sign shall cycle in less than one hour. § 170-109: Lighting of Signs. This new section regulates the lighting of signs in all zoning districts. §§ 170-101 H., 170-106 I. and the word “Glare” in §170-111 are to be removed from the Code as being unnecessary because of the amendments proposed above.
The pubic hearing shall be held on Wednesday, April 21, at 7:30 PM at the Courthouse in Washington, VA.
