Congratulations to Charde Ferguson who was selected for the National Honor Society at Longwood College in Farmville. An induction ceremony is planned for Sunday, April 18 and her family plans to attend.
Belated birthday wishes go out to niece, Patti Doty, who added another year on Tuesday, the 13th. Also happy wishes go out to the little Shaw sisters of Heritage Smith Lane—Jessica celebrating and Miranda enjoying her day, Thursday. Coming up on Monday, the 19th nephew Jason Knick will add another year.
The “Battle in the Blue Ridge” is the theme this year as Graves Mountain Lodge celebrates spring with its Spring Fling Festival on Saturday and Sunday, April 24 and 25. Any bluegrass band from our area may enter by registering, which is required and calling 9234231. Please mark the dates on your calendars and plan to attend this 13th annual event.
