Cecil Baldwin of Sperryville has announced her candidacy for the seat of Supervisor from Piedmont District subject to the election in November. In declaring, Mrs. Baldwin stated she is a native of Rappahannock County and attended school here. She is the former Cecil Burke. Mrs. Baldwin is an active member of Sperryville Rescue Squad and is the license agent for the Virginia Division of Motor Vehicles. She is married to Thomas Baldwin and together they own and operate West End Shell in Sperryville.

“You better plan on naming an attorney because you’re going to be in court on May 2,” warned attorney Claude Compton after the Rappahannock supervisors delayed action on C.L.
