George Thomas Wharton, 69, of Castleton died April 6 at his residence.
He was bom May 24, 1934 in Rappahannock County to the late Henry Wharton and Lilly Mae Cloud Wharton.
Mr. Wharton enjoyed the outdoors and especially loved hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Charles, Johnny, Roy and Robert Whorton, three sisters, Louada Brown, Virginia Clatterbuck and Grace Corbin.
Mr. Wharton is survived by his wife of 47 years, Eleanor L. Wharton, two sons, Thomas M. Wharton and Gregory Wharton both from Castleton, two daughters, Connie Wharton of Charlottesville and Robin Whalen of Woodbridge.
