Kindergarten registration
Children who will be five years old by Sept. 30 may enter kindergarten this August. Registration is at the Rappahannock County Elementary School from Tuesday, May 4 through Thursday, May 6 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon and I- 3 p.m. by appointment. For more information, call (540) 987-8259.
Oriental dance
A new series of five Tuesday classes runs May 4 through June 1 at 6 p.m. at the Belle Meade Schoolhouse in Sperryville on Route 231, six miles south of Route 522. Rappahannock Free Clinic
The Rappahannock Free Clinic, a branch of the Fauquier Free Clinic, will be open May 5 and May 19 at the Rappahannock Health Department in Washington. Patient registration is 5:30-6:30 p.m. There is a shortage of nurses to assist at the clinic. Those willing to help (it is not necessary to be an RN) are urged to call the clinic at 675-2525 or 3470394.
Fund-raiser for boy

'DogDay Afternoon"
The Rappahannock Animal Welfare League will hold its fourth annual Dog Day Afternoon with fun for families and their dogs on Saturday, May 15 from noon to 5 p.m. at , Windrush, three and one-fourth miles from Route 647, on the left side of Route 637 (North Poes Road).
