Also at the Planning Commission meeting, builder Peter Kreyling withdrew an application to build a less than 5,000 square foot headquarters for his construction business near his home at 201 Hunters Road.

Kreyling said he had been searching for two years for a commercially-zoned plot of land to move his construction business to and had not found one. He decided to build on a 27.21 acre parcel on Hunters Road, but discovered that many of his neighbors opposed the idea of business there.

A delegation of seven persons came to the commission meeting. Kreyling stood up and read a brief statement saving he withdrew the plan out of respect for the wishes of his neighbors.

The commission approved a site plan for the Wakefield Country Day School, Inc. for the “adaptive reuse” of a packing shed as offices.
