Paternal grandparents are Edwin and Judith Zura of EUicott City, Md. **** Mr. and Mrs. John Luthi of Huntly announce the birth of their daughter, Payton Mackenzie on April 16 at Fair Oaks Hospital. Payton weighed seven pounds, five ounces and was 18 and three-fourth inches long. She was welcomed home by her big sisters, Ryann and Samantha. Proud grandparents are Mary Ann Gasaway and Lee Salmon of Fairfax, Walt Gasaway of Ft. Meyers, Fla., and Michael and Sue Luthi of Sperryville. **** Robert “Buck” Henry and Missy Lockhart, along with their daughter Taylor, are pleased to announce the birth of their daughter and sister Taryn Preston Henry on April 1. Taryn weighed eight pounds, two ounces and was 21 inches long. Paternal grandparents are Randolph and Mary Henry of Rixeyville, Va. s year in Iraq Rappahannock. He graduated from Rappahannock County High School and from Frostburg State University, where he served in the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) and received his commission as a 2nd Lieutenant. He was called to active duty and assigned to the 459th Engineers at the Clarksburg U. S. Army Reserve Center. He and his unit were transferred to Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri and in January 2003, from there to Kuwait. They entered Iraq when the war began and proceeded in their 89-vehicle convoy with the advancing forces to Baghdad. There they built a bridge over the Euphrates River, the first bridge to be built under enemy fire since World War H. Capt. Daczewitz said that the Marines may have taken Baghdad but it was the Army Engineers who built the bridge that got them there.
