The Virginia Department of Transportation on April 20 cut the ribbon on its new Rappahannock area headquarters located off Flatwood Road next to the trash collection site. By summer, the new facility should be fully operational and the VDOT crews will move from their current headquarters in the Town of Washington off Fodderstack Road.
