Carnival queen contestants
The Sperryville Volunteer Fire Department is seeking Carnival Queen contestants( girls or boys). The carnival is August 11-14. Anyone who would like to participate or who seeks more information should call Michelle Jenkins, 9879440.
Tree seedlings
Tree seedlings from the Virginia Department of Forestry are available again this year through a local initiative. White Oak and White Ash (up to 10 each) and White Pine (up to 50). No charge for the trees, but contributions gladly accepted to defray costs. Call John Kirchner, 987-9154.
