Horse-drawn carriage rides through historic Washington will be available to townspeople and visitors every Friday night through the month of September, beginning Sept. 3 from 6-10 p.m.
The rides are offered by the Shenandoah Carriage Company LLC of Front Royal.
The Washington Town Council is agreeing to a trial run for a month after which both the town and the carriage company will re-evaluate whether the rides will continue. If so, the carriage company would want to commit to a standard Friday night schedule through the peak leaf season—through November.
