Fun for All Ages Program
Storyteller, folk musician, and award winning recording artist Bill Wellington will capture your musical imagination Saturday, Aug. 21, at 2 p.m. at the Rappahannock County Library.. Through audience participation and performances on the banjo, fiddle, guitar and Irish flute, expect the library’s final summer program to be a hand-clapping and toetapping experience.
Scouting breakfast
The Rappahannock County Friends of Scouting Annual Breakfast will be held on Saturday, Aug. 21 at the Flint Hill Public House at 8 a m. Speakers include Major Mark Dick of Flint Hill and Sgt. Ryan Oyster of Castleton. Both men will talk about their recent service in Iraq. Rappahannock County Friends of Scouting raises money for the Boy Scout program of the Shenandoah Area Council including Rappahannock County. Tickets are $50 and may be reserved by calling Walt or Susan Longyear at 675-3679.
