NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING WITH RESPECT TO THE
PROPOSED ISSUANCE, SALE AND AWARD OF
GENERAL OBLIGATION SCHOOL BONDS BY THE
COUNTY OF RAPPAHANNOCK, VIRGINIA
Notice is hereby given that the Board ot Supervisors (the Board") of the County of Rappahannock. Virginia (the "County"), will hold a public hearing pursuant to the provisions of Section 15.2-2606 of the Code of Virginia (1950). as amended, with respect to the adoption by the Board of a proposed resolution authorizing the issuance, sale and award of the principal amount not to exceed $4,000,000 Rappahannock County. Virginia General Obligation School Bonds. Series 2004 (the "Bonds") to be sold to the Virginia Public School Authority ('VSPA") in the Fall Bond Sale for the purpose of providing funds to pay a portion of the costs of capital projects for school pt: poses in the County (all school projects for capital purposes in the County being collectively referenced herein as the Project").
The Bonds will be a general obligation of the County secured by its full faith and credit pledge. The public hearing which may be continued adjourned, will be held on or about 7:00 p m. on September 8. 2004, before the Board at its meeting to be held in the Auditorium at the Rappahannock County High School, located at 12576 Lee Highway, Washington, Virginia. Any person interested in the issuance, sale and award of these Bonds may appear at the hearing and present his or her views. The Board may set time limits on speakers and other rules and procedures for the conduct of the public hearing.
Written comments regarding the proposed Bonds and the Project may be forwarded either to the County Administration prior to the public hearing in care of the County Administrator at 290 Gay Street. P.O. Box 519. Washington. Virginia 22747. or to the Board during said hearing.
Requests for audio or visual assistance for those persons requir mg such assistance during the hearing must be submitted in writing to the County Administrator above, no later than 12:00 noon. Friday. September 3. 2004. Such requests must specify the type of assistance or aid required.
