The Headwaters’ public education foundation for Rappahannock County has announced that Paige Coombs has joined the foundation as executive director, replacing Linda Tarry who retired in July.
Coombs comes to Headwaters with 11 years experience as a substitute teacher in the Rappahannock County School System. She has been active in the community for over 18 years, having served as a volunteer, board member, and/or board president for numerous non-profit organizations including Hospice of the Rapidan, the American Cancer Society, Child Care & Learning Center (CCLC) and the Friends of the Library.
“Filling Linda Tarry’s shoes is a challenging role for anyone, and we feel very lucky to have found someone with Paige’s gifts, energy, and experience,” said Mary Anne Biggs, Headwaters Board Chairperson.
“Paige manages to be a consummate professional while making the work fun. Her passion for education and her great talents are especially valuable as Headwaters is expanding its programs and capacity to serve.”
