The Rappahannock News has had a presence on the World Wide Web for years, but with the launching of its new Internet site this week, stepped briskly into the fast-changing world of interactivity.
With a new look and better functionality, RappNews.com is all about connecting with the community New additions include local blogs, movie and book reviews by readers, lots of community conversation about the topics of the day, and a place for readers to contribute their own news. Community members also will be abkkto share their own photos with fellow RappNews.com users.
A weekly feature on Page A2 of the newspaper will key readers into what additional Rappahannock content will be on the Web that day — content beyond what’s in the printed newspaper. Web users will find photo galleries, multimedia presentations, and a new horse and field sports section exclusively on the site.
