SAFE’S former office was located on East Street in a residential building, but was outgrown due to the expanding needs of the region as well as the increasing cost of rent.

“As other resources were strapped with what they could provide, we had people at our door who had a lot of issues beyond what we could serve,” said DeDomenico-Payne. “We 'felt we were expected to do more.”
