Let’s Collaborate!
January’s show at The Middle Street Galley will have something for everyone... and something by everyone. In preparation for this show, member artists have been collaborating on works of art for several months. The idea of collaboration has been interpreted in many ways. Several artists have taken another’s creation and added to it and/or subtracted from it Others have spent many hours working side-by-side on a specific work. One sculpture in this show was created by visitors on the Artists of Rappahannock tour. Local artists have created a flip book that will be up for silent auction. In addition to the completed works on display, there will be an unfinished canvas and art supplies available; you are invited to come to the gallery and contnbute to the making of a work of art In all, this promises to be a lively and unusual show... a pick-me-up for the winter days ahead. You are invited to meet fellow collaborators at the opening reception on January 6 from 2 - 5 p.m. Refreshments will be served. The Middle Street Gallery is located next to The Inn at Little Washington in Washington, Virginia Gallery hours are Friday. Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 to 6:00.
