the Medical College of Virginia’s School of Dentistry In December 1966, the two Rappahannock men were arrested with large amounts of cocaine in their possession and later pleaded guilty to charges of possession with intent to distribute. But through plea bargains, Nicholson and Massie received reduced sentences in exchange for their cooperation in the continuing muitr-junsdictum drug investigation that resulted in Dr Peper's indictment by a special grand jury last August Detective George Wade of the Richmond Mice Department’s narcotics squad testified that a tip led to the surveillance of George Massie’s Richmond apartment on Dec. 12,1986. Police followed Massie as he drove with Phul Knight Lacy and Lacy’s girlfriend Tamara Lee Messmer to Rappahannock County, where they stopped at Ronald Nicholson’s residence on Fodderstack Road outside Washington. The three spent about a half hour at Nicholson’s house, then returned to Richmond where Lacy’s truck was searched. Mice found four ounces of high grade cocaine and a set of scales, Detective Wade said.
