For the last 12 years Tom and Donna OHalloran , owners of Glengary Tree Farm in Viewtown, have been donating handmade Christmas wreaths to terminally ill patients cared for by Hospice of the Rapidan. Staff members from Hospice of the Rapidan deliver the wreaths to patients under their care throughout Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison, Orange and Rappahannock Counties during the holiday season. Kathy Clements, Executive Director of Hospice of the Rapidan, thanked the OTfallorans saying “Our community is truly blessed by the generosity of neighbors like the OTiallorans and Glengary Tree Farm. Their caring brings great comfort to patients and families during a time of year when dealing with a terminal illness can be especially difficult.”
The O’Hallorans have owned Glengaiy Tree Farm on Korea Road since 1954. Participation in their community has long been part of their approach to business. While families come from as far away as Norfolk and Baltimore (and even as far away as Mexico) to cut their own trees, most of their customers are area residents, and the OHallorans have always felt an obligation to give back to the community that supports their family business.
