Sarah Smoot, a junior at Rappahannock County High School, is the new Miss Teen Virginia.
The MissTeen Virginia International pageant was held on Sunday in Chester. Vn.. near Richmond.
After a weekend visiting Short Pump Mall, the McGuire Veterans Hospital, rehearsing and preparing. Smoot was crowned Miss Teen Virginia International 2008.
Smoot will be promoting her platform across the state and will prepare to compete for the national title in July in Chicago.
Sarah had represented and won in Rappahannock County before heading to the competition in Richmond.
"It's a pretty big deal, we’re very proud of her," said a delighted Mike Smoot, her father. “She'll be heading to Chicago!"
