Roger Cordani is the Amissmlle team coordinator for this J'fear’i Relay For Life. The tenth annual Relay for Life will be held on May 17*18 at the Rappahannock County Elementary School. The plan is to make this one the best yet! Organizers intend both to have more fun and raise more money than ever before. And, this can only be done by enlisting lots of people to lead teams; to help plan the event; and to raise funds. The Relay is organized around teams. Before the Relay, team members raise donations for the American Cancer Society, both individually and through team efforts such as bake sales, pancake breakfasts, and the like. Some local teams compete eagerly to see who can raise the most funds. The night of the event is always a good time. Various teams set up tents around the track as their headquarters. There is good-natured camaraderie both, around the “camp site” and on the track. This year we have local area coordinators recruiting new team leaders and helping support both new and previous leaders. In Amissville, the team coordinator is Roger Cordani who can be reached at 675-3123. Or you can contact Evelyne Latham at 675-3398 or evelatham@juno.com.
